All the filters found on iOS are found on this version
As per an announcement on their blog, the team at Instagram states, “Today,
we’re excited to bring you Instagram for Android. We’ve already seen
more than 30 million people join Instagram to create and share beautiful
photos on their iOS devices, and now we’re thrilled to offer a way for
Android users to join their iOS friends on Instagram to share their
photos with the world.” They go on to add, “We’ve been working
tirelessly to make this new Android app a first-class mobile
photo-sharing experience. We’ve been meticulous about translating the
Instagram experience to the Android platform. The Android app offers an
extremely familiar Instagram experience when compared to the iOS app.
You’ll find all the same exact filters and community as our iOS
version.”
In a related report by The New York Times, Kevin Systrom, creator of the photo sharing app has said that since it became available to Android, they have received more than 2,000 sign ups per minute. This will translate to approximately three million new users in a single day.
The first version of the app for Android shares most of the features found on the iOS version except for Tilt Shift / Blur, Share from Feed, Live Preview and Share to Flickr. However, succeeding versions of the app will bridge this gap between the two operating systems.
