Mr. Muralikrishnan B., Country Manager, eBay India, says, “We are
delighted to announce the eBay iPad app where shoppers can access eBay
India on the move and can take advantage of the iPad's stunning image
resolution, large touchscreen, and on-the-go portability to deliver a
revolutionary shopping experience. The eBay iPad App offers consumers an
enriching eCommerce experience on their tablets & is the next step
after the launch of the eBay India iPhone, Android, Windows and Nokia
apps launched last year.”
Mr. Muralikrishnan added, “Mobile Commerce is a key focus area at
eBay India. It is very likely that a majority of the next 100 million
internet users in India will have their first and pre-dominant
experience of internet on mobile devices, either Smartphones or Tablets.
Our key focus around mobile devices in 2012 is to get greater
penetration of our apps and encourage people to use this as a device to
check prices before shopping offline.”
To get started, users need to simply download the app and it will
automatically browse the eBay India site. It features all the aspects of
the actual site, including the options to sell, search, bid, buy and
browse and lets sellers, users and buyers look and shop for the products
they want with simple scrolling, advanced search and even showcases
high resolution pictures.
Users can then click on the desired product to read its description
or details of the seller. To buy the product, they can select the ‘Buy
it Now’ option and confirm the purchase by selecting the ‘Commit to Buy’
option. Payments for purchases can be done online on the www.ebay.in
website through eBay India’s secure payment method PaisaPay. All
purchases are secure and covered by eBay Guarantee. Consumers can also
access their ‘My eBay’ account, saved searches as well reminders and
messages from eBay.
You can also log onto www.ebay.in/mobile to download eBay India’s Mobile Commerce offerings.
